I was called a "Hero" tonight, and it felt damn good.

Pittsburgh Yinz!

What an incredible drive from DC to Pittsburgh, and back...taking our time winding up and down the mountains and through farm lands on the back roads with the sun shining and leaves full of color. And Pittsburgh, what a beautiful city! Its come a long way from its steel-city days, but what's impressive is that it still preserves the history and culture that makes Pittsburgh a kick-ass city. From the many steel bridges, saved factories and warehouses, inclines, Mt. Washington, and more, this was an exceptionally fun lil' journey.

Blowup

Finally got around to watching Michelangelo Antonioni's masterpiece, "Blow Up". I knew there were some noted musical ties to the film, but didn't realize it was the Yardbirds! It was pretty awesome watching Jeff Beck smash his guitar, and watching Jimmy Page before his heyday,  in a movie. If you haven't seen this film, get on it! Who doesn't love the 60's and Swinging London?

Job Perks

Last night I received 4 front row tickets and a parking pass to the Washington Wizards basketball game. I brought the boyfriend, and my #2 guy Matt Moffatt to the game. Matt’s brother also joined us, who is an even bigger Bullets fan than Matt.

Highlights:

§  VIP Coach’s Club access = FREE DRINKS AND FOOD!

§  Being 5 feet away from the players

§  FRONT ROW!

§  Sitting right behind the announcer and near all the local celebs

§  High-fiving Chris Cooley and getting my picture taken with him (we had better seats than he did!)

§  Random texts from friends telling us that they saw us on T.V.
