Carl's Frozen Custard

After hearing so much about this place, I finally had a taste of its delightful treats! The menu is simple with 3 classic frozen custard flavors: vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. But it doesn't stop there, they also have classic malts and hot fudge sundaes. It was a hard decision between a cone and a malt, but I went with a cone (double scoop).

Sorry there is no evidence...it was so good I couldn't take a break! So, here are pictures of the old-timey stand.

Thanks to Garrett for planning this special stop on our way to Richmond.

I've never seen a baby squirrel. Do they exist?! THINK ABOUT IT...its really blowing my mind right now. I bet Google Images will have the answer!

"Speak Softly and Carry a Big Stick"

Yesterday, I took a day trip to DC's Theodore Roosevelt Island. After many years of living in the area, its about time I visited this little treasure. The island memoralizes one of the Nation's favorite presidents and his dedication to nature. Check it out:

Chap's & Stewart's Eats

A few weekends ago I checked out the local flavor in East Baltimore that is Chap's Pit Beef and Stewart's Root Beer. I'll let the photos do the talking...

Next order: ribs and orange cream floats.
