Chuck Brown Ya'll

I remember first hearing Chuck Brown when I was 7 or 8 at a friend's house in the neighborhood. It became such a normal thing to hear his music and other go-go music growing up, that it took me awhile to realize that people outside of the DC area had never heard of it... "What is go-go?"

Threatened?

Claire O'Neill's recent NPR article shed some light on how threatened and affected Koala's are in Australia. Cute, yes! But, threatened? Yes! According to the article, Koala's are now threatened by dog attacks and being hit by vehicles due to their proximity to developed areas as they continue to search for shelter from a loss of habitat.

There is always (saddly) the threat of the endangered species list, but never would I expect these types of threats to strike one of my favorite furballs (just see my 3rd grade report!). Thanks for putting it into perspective and capturing the reality and devastation of what is happening to this widely-loved species.

We are all used to the cute-friendly photos of Koala's, but the photos in the article paint a different picture...
